What should you expect on a dog visit?

Dog visits will include a quick toilet break, this can be a toilet break in the garden or a 5-10 minute walk to give your dog the chance to go toilet, we all know some dogs need to walk for a bit to get their system going! The visit will also include playtime, cuddles and fuss. On request i can bring enrichment activities such as a lickmat with some dog friendly peanut butter or a snuffle mat to provide mental stimulation.  Dog visits can be arranged alongside a walk to get the full experience of both exercise and company.

After each visit I will send you some photos and a detailed report of how the visit went. You can combine a walk and drop in if you wish. I also provide a 6 hour long visit, please have a look at my other services.

Dog visits are a flexible care option designed to keep dogs comfortable in their own homes whilst they have their basic needs met.

Important information about dog visits

Before the visit we will do a meet and greet to ensure that we have a chance to meet in person so that your dog and yourself can get comfortable with me and this will give you the opportunity to let me know your dogs favorite toys and treats and any feeding schedule. Please ensure the dog has their bed available to them, alongside their toys and treats.

I do not consent to be filmed but do understand a lot of people have a camera on when leaving their dogs alone, which is a great idea to be able to keep an eye on them.  I am happy to turn this off on arrival and then on again before I leave.

I cover Selsdon, South Croydon, Sanderstead, East Croydon, and lower addiscombe, depending on distance I may be able to cover outside this area so please send me an enquiry.

What people also ask about dog visits

Can I book a walk and a drop in?

Yes, depending on availability, a walk and a drop can be done back to back. This is great for dogs that may be alone whilst you are at work and need that bit of extra time and care.

How long is a standard visit?

You can book visits for either 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours.  If you need longer than that please send me an enquiry and we can discuss your dogs needs.

What exactly happens during a dog visit?

A dog visit is a chance for  your dog to get a toilet break, which can be either a short walk of 5-10 minutes or a toilet break in the garden. Your dog can also be feed, given medication and I will also make sure that your dog get some playtime and cuddles if they so wish. If you have any other requirements for the dog visit I am happy to discuss this at the meet up.

Will my dog be walked, or is this just for the garden?

I often find some dogs need a little walk to get their systems going, so I am happy to give them a 5-10 minute walk instead of a toilet break in the garden if this is preferred.

Can you visit at specific times?

Yes, during the meetup/enquiry you can let me know what time you need me to visit and I will do my best to accommodate this.

Do you provide updates or photos?

Yes, after each visit you will receive photos as well as a little update regarding how the visit went.

What is your process for reactive or nervous dogs?

When you send the enquiry you can let me know the needs of your dog and if we both feel this is a good fit we will do a meet and greet were we can discuss your dogs needs in more depth.

Can you give my dog their medication during the visit?

Yes, I can. I have experience with giving medication to dogs.

Do I need to be home for the first visit?

No, this is not needed.
