Dog Walking
What happens if its too hot for my dog to have a walk
Dogs should not be fed just before or after exercise due to the risk of developing bloat which is a life - threatening emergency where the stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting of blood supply. I would recommend your dog is not fed too close to a walk. Experts recommend at least 1 or 2 hours between eating and exercising your dog.
Can you feed my dog before or after the walk?
In extreme heat, dogs will be offered a walk earlier in the morning when its cooler or have the option of a toilet break and a drop in visit where they could have some mental stimulation indoors such as some playtime and an enrichment activity.
Can I cancel the same day of the walk?
Cancellations for walks need to be at least 24 hours in advance and 48 hours for drop ins, full amount will be collected if cancelling outside of this time.
My dog is a bit nervous with other dogs, can I still book a walk?
For nervous dogs I would recommend a 1 to 1 walk.

Can I meet you before the walk/drop in
Yes, for new clients a meet and greet needs to be arranged before a walk or a drop in.

The walks are between 30 minutes to 1 or 2 hours depending on your needs. This does not include pick up and drop off.
How many dogs do you take on a walk?

Yes, I do but with your consent. Photos from the walk will be shared with you and also used to advertise the business.

Unfortunately this is above my current skill set, however I am happy to suggest other dog professionals in the neighbourhood who can support you with this.
Do I need to be home?
No, you can provide me with the keys and I can provide care for your dog/cat whilst you are out.

Dog visit
Can I book a walk and a drop in?
Yes, depending on availability, a walk and a drop in can be done back to back. This is great for dogs that may be alone whilst you are at work and need that bit of extra time and care.
How long is a standard visit?
You can book visits for either 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours.
If you need longer than that please send me an enquiry and we can discuss your dogs needs.
What exactly happens during a dog visit?
A dog visit is a chance for your dog to get a toilet break, which can be either a short walk of 5-10 minutes or a toilet break in the garden. Your dog can also be feed, given medication and I will also make sure that your dog get some playtime and cuddles if they so wish. If you have any other requirements for the dog visit I am happy to discuss this at the meet up.
Will my dog be walked, or is this just for the garden?
I often find some dogs need a little walk to get their systems going, so I am happy to give them a 5-10 minute walk instead of a toilet break in the garden if this is preferred.
Can you visit at specific times?
Yes, during the meetup/enquiry you can let me know what time you need me to visit and I will do my best to accommodate this.
Do you provide updates or photos?
Yes, after each visit you will receive photos as well as a little update regarding how the visit went.
What is your process for reactive or nervous dogs?
When you send the enquiry you can let me know the needs of your dog and if we both feel this is a good fit we will do a meet and greet were we can discuss your dogs needs in more depth.
